  • What My Clients Say...

    I have not had counselling or healing sessions that had same kind of breathing techniques – I’ve done a variety of meditations and some breath work, but the whole process was different than I have experienced before.

    After the session I had time to sit with my thoughts and process. I noticed that I am able to reframe and look at my thoughts/feelings with a fresh perspective, a new awareness, seeing more clearly where my triggers come from and look at them differently.  Almost like taking a moment with my inner child and giving the memory/event new perspective, giving the little girl a voice or what she needs in that moment and being with her…it feels like a different journey forward somehow.

    I can see clearly the piece about advocating for myself, trusting myself and speaking up. This one aspect is tied to many other threads and I am in the process of unraveling that ball of yarn. I will also observe my thoughts and emotions and either reframe them or heal with the DM, as I practice more with the DM I can peel away more layers. Rounding out what loving myself looks like is going to be an interesting journey and I feel curious about what will come from that exploration. Becoming clear on my values is also part of my journey.

    My first-ever Dalian Method session was truly extraordinary!  Had I known how amazing the experience would be, I would have scheduled this much sooner.

    I had not expected such a deep, experiential, somatic experience. Monika in her clear, centered, safe, and non-judgmental way made it possible for me to relax and allow myself to feel many different strong emotions that arose. I was especially surprised how much sadness showed up at different times during the session. I avoid feeling deep sadness because I always get congested and can’t breathe. This felt like a cleansing when I let it run through me.  

    I have never had an experience of integrating my thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and movement the way I did in this session.  It was a powerful and unique way of integrating all the parts of me while accessing my True Self.  I look forward to future Dalian Method sessions!

    The Dalian method was far more intense and intentional than what I have experienced before.  There was a definite process which was articulated at the outset; to address and clarify expectations for both of us.  I had only experienced group sharing to this point, so this was far more personal, private, and powerful.  

    I found it most helpful to be guided by the audio, and kept on track by Monika: reminded to breathe, and was kindly supported when I expressed something meaningful and deeply emotional.  The blend of recorded material and in person facilitation was very powerful.  

    As Monika had prepared me for, other memories and emotions have bubbled up, for example it would have been my ex-husbands and mine 43rd wedding anniversary today…and I could finally forgive him, and myself.  What has been the most remarkable is that the hip pain most prominent the past few months is gone!  Even 5 days later! My knee on the other hand is very painful, so I must address what is going on there.
